How do I know what tennis standard to input?

One of our biggest challenges is making sure everyone is matched up to someone of a similar standard. Here’s a little more information:

**You will Play Up & Play Down** – There will be times during your Active Away Tennis Holiday where you ‘Play Up a level’ (maybe even against the coaches) and also times where you’ll ‘Play Down a Level. We try to make this as even as possible.

**Changing Groups** – Please never be afraid to speak to your host about changing groups if you feel over/under challenged.

How fit/athletic do I need to be to join a tennis holiday?

You don’t have to do the full programme if you don’t want to! We have all levels of fitness on our holidays – from 21 – 80 year olds. We would recommend a basic level of fitness.

Can I pay my balance in monthly instalment?

I am a singles player, not a doubles player. Would I still benefit from one of your tennis holidays?

Our tennis programme is designed to help you become a more skilled and confident doubles player. While we do cover some technique that benefits all players, the primary focus is on doubles tactics and strategy.

Are flights included?

Accepted Answer

Flights are not included in our package. However, both the tennis programme and accommodation are included, and you can add airport transfers for an additional cost.

Are airport transfers included?

What is the Single Occupancy Supplement?

The Single Occupancy Supplement needs to be added to your booking if you are staying in a room on your own.

**a) Why do I have to pay the Single Occupancy Supplement?** Our pricing is based on 2 sharing a room and all prices displayed on our website are ‘Per Person.’

**b) Can someone else share my room if I’ve paid for the Single Occupancy of it?** No. We are charged different rates for the number of people in the room. A second person must pay either the full price or the non-playing price.

**c) Do you make any margin on the Single Occupancy Supplement?** No, we actually even pass any early booking discount we get with hotels to our guests. We do our best to negotiate the best prices possible for Single Occupancy as we appreciate this is a prohibitive booking factor.

Am I financially protected?

Yes, your holiday is protected through the Package Travel Regulations if your booking has more than 1 part – for example: Accommodation & Tennis.

How do I apply my discount code?

You can only use 1 Discount Code per Tennis Holiday.

Who will be hosting my holiday?

Your holiday will be hosted by one of our highly trained tennis experts. They are an LTA Level 4/5 Qualified Coach, extremely personable and friendly!

Will I feel left out/lonely if I join on my own?

Accepted Answer

Without a doubt no! Socialising is one of our biggest USPs outside of our tennis coaching programme and one of the reasons we have so many repeat customers. Many of our clients come alone and meet friends for life.

Off the court, we love to create lasting memories by dining together and enjoying the evening entertainment.

How long does it take for my booking to be confirmed?

We aim to confirm all bookings within 24 to 48 hours of your initial reservation.

Can I bring a non-playing partner or family member?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, the more the merrier! Non-playing guests can enjoy a £200 discount on their booking. All our resorts offer a variety of activities so they won’t get bored, and they are always welcome to join the group for meals.

Are there any additional costs I should be made aware of?

Additional costs may apply depending on the hotel you’re staying at and if you choose to join the group at one of the a la carte restaurants.

On some holidays, we also offer the option of dining at a local restaurant outside the resort on the final evening, which would incur an extra charge. This plan will be decided during the trip based on the group’s preference.

If you’re planning any activities on your day off, such as excursions, we recommend bringing cash in the local currency to cover any expenses.

Where should I pack my tennis racket?

Hold Luggage only!

It is a CAA Requirement for your tennis racket to be in your hold luggage, we do not recommend risking trying to bring it as hand luggage.

Aircraft companies are supposed to remove tennis rackets from the plane if seen being brought as hand luggage.

Not at all! This is your holiday and we want you to enjoy it as much as possible which means you can play as much or as little as you would like.

Are the courts free to book outside of the programme?

Most of the resorts we visit offer free court bookings, but feel free to confirm with your host, who can assist you in reserving courts at the tennis centre or through reception.

Can I switch groups if I feel like I'm in the wrong one?

Yes! If you feel like you are being under or over challenged please do inform your host who will accommodate the groups accordingly.

How do I find out my transfer departure time?

Your host will share the transfer list in the group chat a couple of days before departure, and you’ll also receive an email. If you’d like the information sooner, feel free to ask your host.

I've broken my strings. Can I get them re-strung?

Some of the resorts we visit have a stringing machine available. If not, one of the coaches will be happy to lend you a spare racket.
